THE STATEWIDE   EMERGENCY FOOD AND ANTI-HUNGER NETWORK

The Statewide Emergency Food and Anti-Hunger Network (SEFAN) serves as a voice for the emergency food community and the people they serve, the over 800,000 New Jersey residents who struggle with hunger and food insecurity in their daily lives.

SEFAN...

  • provides information and technical support to a network of over 900 emergency food providers throughout New Jersey.
  • educates the public and policy makers about hunger in New Jersey.
  • advocates for appropriate policy responses to the problem of hunger on the federal, state, and local levels.
  • works with other anti-poverty advocacy organizations to address the root causes of hunger and to create long-term solutions to this growing problem.
